What about having a link or something that two or more people can select Pokemon to battle?

I think this idea could work, because we can see all Pokemon's and their moves.

You mean two people can start 6 vs 6 battles against each other, after picking Pokemon and moves? Then both can see each other's team and moves?

You can already do such things on a few sites and programs already, Shoddy Battle being one of them. You'll find a lot more and considerably stronger battlers on the Smogon server on that program, than you'll ever find on this site in a near future.

Also, if you want the battle to work like it does in Pokemon... I can tell you that it's absolutely a time-requiring and difficult thing to do. The Pokemon battling system is very complex. Well it's not as complex if you completely ignore all those non-damage dealing moves (like Taunt, Swords Dance, Leech Seed) as well as Pokemon's abilities.

A game where you can battle other people will be released on this site eventually (the RPG game), though I've planned to not include non-damage dealing moves at first for the sake of simplicity in making it.
