I got into pokemon for competitive battleing reason pretty recently after seeing my friends do it then seeing all the different info on Smogon I was just hooked and now I have made a lot of teams but because of certain reasons I haven't been able to try them out

The name is Mr. Dypsht, won't tell you my first name. I am 13 (and a half) years old, and my hobbies range from extreme action sports, such as bmx, skateboarding, and extreme scootering, to chilling out at home playing pokemon. I love music, and I play guitar, but not amazingly, just average.
I got into pokemon from my cousin. I was really young, and I couldn't remember it much, but my cousin was really into it. He had pokemon red, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. He even had the official pokemon handbook, which included the poster with all 150 pokemon, including togepi. It also had a full database with all of the pokemon information you should know at the time, except for where to find them, and it also had info on all of the gym leaders and elite four. He gave me the book, and from then on, pokemon was life.
My very first pokemon game was pokemon sapphire. I got it with leaf green, but saphire was the first one I took out. I was very young when the pokemon era started, so I got the older games later on, and loved them. Silver was better. I love to battle trainers, and I hate encountering wild pokemon when traveling. I mean, I already caught 5 pidgeys, I don't need any more.

Hi! I joined a couple days ago and I just thought I'd try out the forum and see if I could make some new friends, and maybe contribute some? Dunno... I'm thinking about trying for the Pokemon news thing, I love writing, and I love drawing too. My teachers say I might very well grow up to be an author/illustrator. ^^
Anyways here's some info about yours truly.(Excuse me if I start to ramble. >.>)

Not sure I want to state it. But my friends always call me "Perry the Platapus". lol (It's one of my IRL names.)

I prefer Cat, but you can call me by my full username if you feel like typin' out the other four letters. lol

Thirteen. But people(online) say I sound more like eighteen, dunno if that's really true.

Location:
California.

Hobbies/Interests:
I love animals. Especially cats. I'm currently fostering a long haired tux kitten for the shelter, we're thinking about keeping him. =D
I also have a liking for drawing, writing fictional stories, and spriting. And then there's reading, I love books. And there's swimming, I love the water too.
I love a lot of things. lol

How I got into Pokemon:
I think, if I remember correctly, I started where my brother and sister left off. It all started with the cards, I probably got a new pack of them every week lol. I'm not exactly sure what my first game was... I think it was Poke' Stadium for N64. Then I got Silver for Gameboy... It's the best game ever!

Other stuff:
I'm actually insulted for my love of Pokemon. No one in my life likes it. D=
This year our science teacher gave us a project involving Pokemon and evolution/adaption. We had to come up with another evolve. Everyone was like "Oh, come on! Anything but Pokemon!" but I was like, "Heck yea, I'm gonna' ace this!".
I wound up getting an A+, my Pokemon was Ralts. I also helped a couple people out with ideas and the locations of their Pokemon.
That got me some harrassment but I don't really care, nothing can stop my love for Pokemon. lol
